A one-eyed person is issued with a certificate showing 30% disability when vision in better eye is between 6/6 and 6/18. The vision in worse eye has to be less than 3/60 with no light perception.

If your eye sight i.e -7.0 hinders your everyday activities then you shall be considered as visually impaired.

Person whose vision, even with correction (glasses or contact lenses), medicines or surgery, impacts their educational performance & ability to complete everyday tasks due to their vision are considered as visually handicapped.
