You should be in so hurry for UPSC exam, first complete your BA exams properly without any pressure. then have a research on quality coaching institue for upsc then consult some of your failure as well as success full friends or seniors about it then sit for exam,

don't be over confident as well as in hurry.
It will give you confidence as well increase the chance to get succeed in minimum attempts.

Yes, BA student are applicable for UPSC exam.

UPSC conduct so many exams like IAS , IPS , SCRA ,NDA, IFS etc.You can apply all exams through UPSC.Only graduate persons are eligible for maximum no exams except NDA exam.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

AGE CRITERIA:

For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

i m a ba final year student from ignou.i wl get my degree in june 2012.am i eligible to appear for upsc csat 2012

yes you are eligible for upsc exams as they require only graduation and you will be a graduate soon. All you have to do is prepare well for the exam as the number of attempts are as follows:
4 attempts for General category
7 attempts for OBC category
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category

As you are in final year of BA course..

Eligibility for BA course:-

1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

2.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

3.Age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

4.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria one has to fulfill.
