Dear Friend
IES stands for the Indian Engineering services examinations. It is also called Engineering services examinations. This is one of the best and most suitable UPSC examinations for an engineer of any stream. It is organised once every year . The basic eligibility criteria for the IES exam is as below: 1.Academic requirement: >>You must have bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in any discipline from a recognised university.Final year candidates are also allowed to apply for the examinations. Sorry to say that prefinal year students are not allowed to sit for the examinations. So you can apply in the next year Note: For your conventional paper you have select subjects of the core branches of engineering which is : 1.Civil engineering 2.Mechanical engineering 3.Electrical engineering 4.Electronics and communication engineering. 2.Age limitations: The age limit is 21-30 years with relaxations applicable to sc/st/obc. 3.No of attempts: General:4 OBC:7 SC/ST: no limit. 4.Examination pattern: Hope the information will help you.
