Am I eligible to apply for PhD in Economics after completion of M.Com?
Sir/Madam, I had completed my M.Com, and I want to do PhD in Economics. Am I eligible for PhD in economics? Can you please guide me with the details which I need to follow for getting the admission? Awaiting for the quick response. Thanks!

Yes, you are certainly eligible to pursue Ph.D in Economics course after successful completion of Master of Commerce course. There is a certain procedure to be followed in order to do doctoral program. The basic educational qualification required is as follows.
>> You must have completed Master's Degree in Economics in order to do Ph.D in Economics. >> On the other side, candidates who have completed their Master's Degree in below mentioned streams are also eligible. * Statistics * Commerce * Business Administration * Business Economics * History * Operations Research * Mathematics * Engineering ...etc., >> The minimum percentage you must have secured in Master's Degree to be eligible is 55% marks. |

Yes, you are eligible for pursuing Ph.D after completion of Master's degree with minimum 55% marks from any well recognized institute/university. Several universities conduct entrance exams for admission in Ph.D or you can apply for Ph.D though entrance exam like UGC NET/SLET.
