Re: Am I eligible for B.Ed after scoring 48% in graduation(B.Com)?
Dear Friend,
Sorry to say but you cannot go for B.Ed after having just 48% marks in graduation. This is because the minimum percentage of marks that you should have in graduation being a General Category candidate is 50% for pursuing B.Ed. On the other hand , if you belong to any of the reserved categories , then you are eligible. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

B.Ed. - Bachelor of Education is Teacher's Training course and can be taken after Graduation.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having completed Graduation Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce with 50% marks(45% marks for SC/ST candidate) from a recognised University. Hence if you are from SC/ST Category then you can apply for B.Ed. course. |

Re: Am I eligible for B.Ed after scoring 48% in graduation(B.Com)?
Most of the Universities ask for 50% marks in Graduation for B.Ed admission. For SC/ST 45% marks is the criteria for admission.
As you have got 48% hence you have little chance of getting admission in a good college as most of the good colleges ask 50% in Graduation. But you should not get disheartened because there are Open Universities which offer B.Ed course to those students who have below 50% marks. But if you take admission in Open University then you have to get experience of teaching in a school then only your B.Ed degree will be of any use. Hence if you can get a teaching job in any school then you can apply for correspondence B.Ed course and side by side you can gain experience. Some of the top Open Universities for B.Ed are listed below: -Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi -Jamia Millia Islamia Centre for Distance and Open Learning (JMI-CDOL), Delhi -Maharshi Dayanand University Directorate of Distance Education, Rohtak, Haryana -Panjab University Department of Correspondence Studies, Chandigarh -University of Calicut School of Distance Education (UCSDE), Calicut, Kerala -University of Jammu Directorate of Distance Education, Jammu -Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nasik, Maharashtra |
