Am I eligible to become a Mathematics Assistant Professor if qualified CSIR NET(Mathematics) being an Operations Research postgraduate?


I have done my MSc in Operations Research and qualified CSIR NET in Mathematics. Am I eligible for Assistant Professor Mathematics post? Because they have mentioned eligibility criteria is MSc in Mathematics.

Specialisation in mathematics and operational research are entirely different. Yes,if you want to work in assistant professor,you need to qualify entrance exam in addition to that must have done Master in that respective subject.
You can apply in private sector.. They will consider CSIR score card and experience.
