am i able to appear in NDA after having -2.0 eyesight

Hai,

Eyesight requirement for NDA is as follows:-

For Indian Army - To read in a distant vision chart with each eye, with or without glasses, Myopia: Not more than 2.5 D, Hypermetropia: Not more than 3.5 D including Astigmatism.

For Indian Navy - Distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6. Near vision N-5 each eye, Color vision CPI (MLT). Myopia: Not to exceed 0.75 D in either eye, Hypermetropia: Not more than 1.5 D (better eye) and 2.5 D (worse eye)

For Indian Air Force - Distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6. Near vision N-5 each eye, Myopia: Nil, Hypermetropia: +2 D Sph. Astigmatism +0.75 Color Vision CPI (MLT).

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.This exam is conducted by UPSC.

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam.Commerce student are applicable for only Indian Army branch.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

The eye sight criteria for NDA exam is given below-

Eye Standards for Indian Navy and Indian Army:-

1. Uncorrected Without Glass :- 6/9
2. Corrected with glass :- 6/6
3. Limits of Myopia :- -0.75
4. Limits of Hypermetropia :- +1.5
5. Binocular Vision :- III
6. Limits of Color Preception :- I

Eye Standards for Indian Air force Exam :-

1. Minimum Distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other
2. correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia.
3. Colour vision CP-1
4. Hypermetropia: +2.0 D Sph Manifest Myopia: Nil
5. Retinoscopic Myopia: -0.5 in any Meridian permitted
6. Astigmatism: +0.75 D Cyl (within +2.0 D-Max)

Maximum time they reject the candidate of eye-sight problem.You must checked the criteria of eye-sight .If you have matched it then you can definitely applicable.Color blind candidate are strongly not eligible

i got -2.5D mayopia & knee knocking. will it cause me unfit in nda & ssb(tes)?

sir my question is my eyesight is weak -4.5 but with glasses is 6/6 can I join the Indian army by giving the cds exam.
