I have done PGDBM from symbiosis distance education center, i want to know whether i m eligible for to go for UGC NET or not?

All those who have done master degree from a recognised university with 55% marks
or more are eligible for NET.

The distance education courses are recognised by Distance Education Council (DEC).

The distance education of Symbiosis is recognised by DEC, so if you have secured
the above mentioned % in your qualifying examination, then you can definitely
apply for the exam.

The first NET examination of year 2012 is to be conducted on 26th June 2012.
Application process has been started already and will end on 30th April 2012.

UGC NET - UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC two times a year one in June and other in December for selection of Lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship.

The candidate having Post Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University with at least 55% marks and not bellow the age of 19 years, is eligible to apply for NET.

You are pursing PGDBM from Symbiosis distant education center which is recognised by Distant Education Council, so if you have secured the qualifying percentage of marks i.e. 55% marks then you will be eligible to apply for NET.

You can attend UGC NET exam after completing PGDBM, if your diploma is approved by AICTE. Post graduation is the required qualification for attending this exam. You should score 55% marks in PG level. You can apply for this exam via online. Even the final year PG can also apply for this exam.

PGDBM from symbiosis distance education center will not make you eligible to apply in NET examination.

Diploma holder are not eligible for NET examination.
