Sir am i eligible for IAS exam after complete my B.com.

Dear friend yes, you are eligible to apply IAS exam after compliting your graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
Graduation degree is the minimum education qualification to apply this exam.
IAS exam conducted by UPSC through Civil Servieces Exam in every years.
Age limit for this exam is:-
Age should be between 21years to 30 years for General category candidates.
OBC category candidates age relaxation for 3 years and SC/ST catgeory candidates age relaxation for 5 years.

Eligibility For IAS Officer

The fact that you want to join the elite class of the Indian Administrative Service Officer is really appreciable

It is highly recommended to have a strong determination backed by hard work if you really want to crack the all India entrance exam for the Administrative Services..

The examination to crack to the Indian Administrative Services or the Indian Police Services is conducted by the UPSC board in 2 stages :- Prelims and Mains

Preliminary tests you on general knowledge and general studies and has 2 objective papers

MAINS on the other hand has 9 subjective papers which include English and your graduation subjects

The minimum requirements a candidate must fulfill to sit for the Exam :-

1) The candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years if general..3 and 5 years of age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST resp.

2) You must have successfully completed your graduation in any stream from a recognized college without any pending backlogs to be able to appear for this exam

3) General category students can appear only 4 times whereas OBC can appear 7 times

Yes you will be eligible for IAS examination if you have completed B.Com from IGNOU from correspondence.

IGNOU is a recognized distance education University and Graduation done from it is at par with other.

Hence don't worry and concentrate on your preparation for IAS examination.

OBC Category - 21 to 33 years

SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years

It does not matter if you are doing graduation from IGNOU. This institute is recognized by the government and therefore you can apply for the Indian Administrative Service.

There is no problem if you are completing graduation through correspondence or distance education. This does not matter when you apply for the exam. Only the degree should be valid. Rest is not the issue.

Therefore you can apply for the Indian Administrative Service after completing Bachelor of Commerce. To be selected you will have to clear Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Once you are in final year of graduation, I strongly suggest you to start preparing for the entrance exam. Give yourself minimum of 8 to 10 months to prepare well for this entrance exam.


Eligibility

1. Person should be Indian citizen.

2. Bachelor's degree from recognized college.

3. There is no criteria for marks.

4. To apply you should be at least 21 years old.

5. Upper age limit is 30 years.

6. The relaxation is 3 years for the Othe Backward Class.

7. For Schedule Caste and Tribe, the relaxation is 5 years.

8. No physical criteria for IAS.
