IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination

If you have engineering degree then you are applicable for IES exam OR M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.

If You are from B.Arch department then you are applicable for IES exam.But you can write this exam in below given subjects .You can choose any subject from given list .

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

The applicant age should be in between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

SC/ST = 5 years .
OBC =3 years .
PWD =10 years .
Ex-Servicemen = 5 years .

Number of Attempts:

General Category:4 attempts
OBC Category:7 attempts
SC/ST Category: No limit

IES stand for - Indian Engineering Service. This exam conduct by UPSC.


IES Eligibility Criteria like ::
=================

***The candidates must be complete BE / B.Tech degree in any Indian recognized university

*** The candidates must be citizen of Indian

*** Your age limit between 21 to 30 years

*** Age relaxation was,

OBC candidates 3 years, SC / ST candidates 5 years

*** The Final year candidates are eligible for this exam.



IES Eligibility Branches like ::

*** Civil Engineering

*** Mechanical Engineering

*** Electrical Engineering

*** Electronic and Communication Engineering


Number of Attempts like ::
=================

*** General candidates 4 times

Educational Qualifications required to apply for Indian Engineering Services Exams:


>> BE/BTECH pass in any stream
OR
>> Passed section A and Section B of Instution examinations of Institution of Engineers
Or
>> Graduate Membership Examination of Institute of electronics and Telecommunication Engineers


Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


Categories to which recruitments are made through IES Exams are :
1.Civil Engineering
2.Mechanical Engineering
3.Electrical Engineering
4.Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering

Eligibility for IES


The students who graduate from the following streams and discipline are only applicable for appearing in the IES Exam :-

1) you can be either an engineering final year student or must have already completed your engineering in any of the streams

> Electrical Engineering
> Civil Engineering
> Mechanical Engineering
> Electronics and Communications Engineering


2) You can also be a post graduate in any of the following discipline

> Radio Physics
> Wireless Communications
> Electronics


Age Requirements :-

The age of all the candidates appearing for the IES Exam must be within 21 to 30 years if general category..

Upper age relaxation of 3 years for the OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates..

The maximum number of attempts allowed for general candidates is 4 and for OBC its 7..

I am really sorry but Architecture stream is not considered for IES Exam..
