You can apply for IFS if you have these subject in Graduation , Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology OR Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry OR in Engineering of any of University

Required age limit should be 21-30 years and here age relaxation is also available for reserved category candidates as per govt rules such as 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.

Paper II:- General Knowledge (300 marks)
Paper III-VI:- Any two selected optional subject (200 marks for each paper)

Yes you are eligible to sit for the IFS Examination.

A candidate with a graduate degree in any one of the following subject can appear for the IFS Exam: mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, geology, statistics, veterinary science and animal husbandry. So you can count yourself in. Apart from the subjects mentioned above a degree in engineering, agriculture or forestry, medicine or surgery is also accepted.

Age Criteria:- 21-30 years

There is relaxation applicable for the following categories:-

1. SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
2. OBC Candidates: 3 years
3. PWD Candidates: 10 years

Preliminary Exam Pattern:-

• Paper I: General Studies- 200 marks

This exam is conducted in the two staged that is Written Exam and Interview. Written Exam consists Preliminary exam and Main Exam, Preliminary exam consists 200 marks of paper of each and Main Exam is consists 300 marks paper of each......
