Am I eligible for NET exam having passed my M.Com in 1997 and M.Phil in 2008?

Passed M.Com in 1997 with 53.5 percentage and M.Phil in 2008 with 60 percentage. Whether I am eligible to take National Eligibility Test (NET) exam conducted by CBSE for the year 2018?

Yes, you can apply for NET ( National Eligibility Test ) which is conducted by CBSE.

The eligibility to appear for entrance examination is that candidate must have passed master degree with minimum 55% relaxation for reserved category.

There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor but for JRF the maximum age limit is 19-28 years.

So, if you have all the above qualification you are eligible to appear in NET examination.

As you have completed your M.Phil, you are definitely eligible to apply for NET examination conducted by CBSE every year.
And the candidates who got shortlisted through this NET exam can join as JRF and Assistant professor posts in government and private colleges in India.
And the educational qualification required to apply for this exam is post graduation or master degree in any stream with atleast 55℅ of marks in aggregate & 5℅ of marks relaxation for reserved category candidates.
And age limit to apply for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years and there is no maximum age limit for Lectureship.
