Since you belong to OBC category, you will not be considered eligible to take the National Eligibility Test or State Lectureship Eligibility Test as per the percentage of marks you have scored in your masters degree examination. National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Lectureship Eligibility Test (SLET) is conducted and regulated by University Grant Commission and as per its guidelines, candidates belonging to General as well as OBC category needs to score nothing less than 55% marks in the masters degree examination. Candidates belonging to Sc/St category may take the test by scoring 50% in the qualifying examination.

Hi,

NET - National Eligibility Test.

For writing the exam the You must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria :

You must have secured 55% marks in Master's degree.For SC/ST,PH,VH candidates must at least secure 50%.
There is no age limit to apply this exam.

Pattern of the examination :

There will be written test consisting of 3 papers
Paper-I :
It consist of 50 objective type questions of general nature to test reasoning ability, comprehension and divergent thinking of the candidate and of marks 100.
Paper-II :
It consist of 50 objective type questions on the subject chosen by the candidate and of marks 100.
Paper-III :
It consist of 4 section :

Write a critique of a given passage.

Fifteen questions will be asked on the syllabus of Paper-III(A).
Questions will be asked on all major specializations / electives and the candidates will be asked to choose one specialization / elective and answer the five questions from it.
Essay writing

SET - State Eligibility Test.

This exam is conducted by the respected states.

Eligibility Criteria :

You must a degree in Master's from a recognized university.

You must have secured at least 55% in Master's degree. For SC/ST,VH,PH candidates must have secured at least 50%.

>> NET stands for the National Eligibility Test and SET stands for the State Eligibility Test and this both the exam is conducted by the University Grant Commission twice time in year.....

>> A candidate after completing their Post Graduation degree or Master want to do further study and want to do their Ph.D can go for it examination.....

>> NET Generally conducted for two post:-

1. Junior Research Fellowship
2. Lecturer ship

Since, you have Completed your M.Sc you have enough Educational Qualification but, the point is Percentages you have not secure at least 55% then it is difficult for you to apply for NET or SET

Educational Qualification :-


>> A candidate must have completed their Post Graduation degree or Master's Degree in any field from the UGC Recognized University of study can apply for this examination....

>> Final year of PG can also apply for it....

>> A candidate must have Secure at least 55% in their PG or Master's can apply for it....

>> For SC/ST category relaxation available they can apply with 50% also.....


Age Criteria:-


>> For JRF post age of candidate should not exist 28 years..

>> For Lecturer Post there is no any upper age limit...

>> Relaxation for OBC/SC/ST up to 5 years.
