Engineering Degree Course is of 4 Years and If you only completed your Second Year examination and To apply for UPSC Civil services examination, Only Final year degree candidates are eligible, So When you are Pursuing your Final year Engineering degree course only then you can apply for this examination.

To apply for UPSC Civil services examination, you need to Fulfill these given eligibility criteria -

>> Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline form a recognised University.

>> Your age should between 21 to 30 years (If you are general candidates).

>> Final year graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for This examination.

So, Now You are Not eligible for UPSC Civil Services Examination.

For writing Civil Service Exam

Minimum education criteria = Graduate
also Candidates appearing for Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination.

Age limit for civil service exam is:

General category:
candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:

A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs.

Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC precisely for graduate candidates. Candidates must hold a degree in any field. Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also appear for the exam.

You are in 2nd year of your engineering, which is a 4 year course. So you are not eligible to appear for this exam. Also age of the candidate must be in between 21-30 years.

Dear friend,

The CIVIL SERVICE EXAM is conducted by UPSC in every year.

Those are graduate are applicable for civil service exam.You have to complete your graduation degree so you are eligible for CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.

But your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation is provide 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidate.

So if you want to apply for civil service exam you can visit upsc own website.

So, now you are not eligible for civil services exam. Graduate degree is necessary for apply these exams.
Final year degree candidate can also apply here. So you can apply after completing your degree.
Eligibility-
the candidate must have the graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University with no required minimum number of marks.
Age limit is 21-30 years.
5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

No, you are not eligible to write Civil Service Exam after completing 2nd year Engineering as the minimum educational qualification for Civil Service exam is Graduation Degree in any stream or B.Tech. Engineering as the case may be.

Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year to become an IAS/IPS/IFS/IRS etc. officer under Central Govt. various Dept.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply and write Civil Service Exam.

Hence you have to complete 4 years B.Tech. Degree course and after which you can apply for Civil Service Exam.

Yes you can appear for the Civil Services Examination, but after completing the degree, not before it. If you tried to apply now, would be rejected to appear for the Civil Services Examination.

After you have completed the Bachelor of Technology course, it would be your decision whether you want to appear for Indian Police Service or the Indian Administrative Service.

I should tell you that there are physical criteria for the Indian Police Service. You should be able to meet criteria for height, chest, weight, vision etc to appear for the Indian Police Service.

Otherwise you will get disqualified in the later stage when medical tests will be conducted. No such criteria exists for Indian Administrative Service and therefore you can apply for it as soon as you have finished graduation without having to worry about physical criteria.

As you are pursuing 2nd year of Engineering course in CSE, this year you are not eligible to apply for civil services exam this academic year.

But, once you complete your Engineering course, you are eligible to apply for civil services exam.

Because the minimum academic qualification that one should have is Graduation in order to apply for this exam.

So, you have 2 years of time is there in your hands in order to prepare for this exam.

No, Doubt you're definitely eligible for Civil Service Entrance Examination, If Complete you're Engineering course without any standing backlogs.

At present you're and 2nd year Engineering student after Successful Completion of Engineering course, You're definitely applicable for this Entrance Examination.

Three years Graduation course or It's Equivalent qualification is the Minimum Educational Qualification required to apply for Civil Service Entrance Examination.

Only Pass mark in Graduation is basic Criteria for this Entrance Examination . So, It's Clear there is No specific marks required for this Entrance Examination.

The Age limit will be differ according to category like ,

-For General category candidates :- Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years of age
-For OBC category candidates :- Minimum 21 years to 33 years of age

Of course after completing graduation you will be eligible to sit for the civil service examinations.

There are three main civil service examinations:- Indian Administrative Services, Indian Forest Services and Indian Police Services. All of them are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. To give the civil service examination some eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied as given below:-

If you want to give Indian Administrative Service then your nationality has to be Indian. For Indian Foreign Service and other services though citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee and Migrators are also allowed to give this examination.

The basic minimum qualification required to give this examination is a graduate degree which can be attained in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. The degree should be a valid one.

If you have appeared for the final year of bachelor's degree and awaiting result or you are intending to appear at such qualifying examinations then also you can apply, provided that you submit the proof of qualification along with the application for the Mains exam.

You must be atleast 21 years of age and less than 30 years of age as on the date mentioned under the UPSC examination notification.

The upper age limit is relaxed upto a maximum of :-
