Is a B. Tech Biotechnology student eligible for the Agricultural field officer or any other specialist officer position in banking sector?

Being a B.Tech in Biotechnology you are not eligible for applying in any bank examination for the post of Agriculture Officer as for the same your graduation degree must be in the subject related agricultural sciences like Horticulture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Agriculture Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Technology , Pisciculture , Agriculrure Business Management.

But in case you are interested to join Banking field then you can look for the options of bank clerk and Bank probational Officer post as for these posts there is no requirement of a particular stream in graduation degree. Also for your recruitment at these posts in any nationalized bank of India you will have the qualify bank examinations like IBPS bank examination and SBI bank examination.

But in Case we have studied Environmental biotechnology, plant biotechnology, microbiology, ecology and environment science, genetic engineering, etc in our b,tech in biotechnology course of four years, then too we are not eligible for bank Agriculture field officer post IBPS SO?????

Candidate who passed their B.Tech in Biotech degree from ICAR approved Agriculture University are eligible for the Agriculture officer in Banks under agriculture biotechnology

Sir, I'm did my graduation (b.tech) in biotechnology from Pune university. I had subjects involving genetic engineering,cell biology, microbiology, stem cells, environmental science. Am I eligible for IBPS agricultural officer exam.

I also have b.tech biotechnology (4 year degree) from Central agricultural university but this is not clear that I am eligible for afo or not
