Which is better IGNOU or Punjab University for pursuing LLB via distance mode? How to apply for it?

I'm a government teacher and I want to do LLB through correspondence from IGNOU or PU Chandigarh. Please, guide me for it. How can I apply for it and what is the fee structure, key dates, study center etc.

In my opinion, you should not pursue LLB through distance mode as correspondence degree in LLB through any university is not valid or applicable to practice as per the new rules by Bar Council of India. Don't fall into any trap if any university claims its distance degree to be valid. Distance LLB is just treated as an additional course on your part to graduation degree.
It's better to opt LLB through regular mode. There are many good universities which provide regular course in LLB :

- Punjab University

- JNU

- Delhi University

- Chandigarh University

- MDU

- Jaipur University

- Banaras Hindu University

LLB is a degree which has a significant part as practical.

As per the UGC Guidelines, no course can be done in distance learning mode if it has a part more than 40% as practical.

So, LLB cannot be done by distance learning.
