1) best book is 10th,11th and 12th for IIT JAM , all question will be from this only, prepare the book fully, don't try to search for other book
2)Get some previous year question paper, side by side solve that also, from the basic it has given in our school book itself 3)If you buy the Books separably means,it contain only objective type and no explanation will be given, you should mug up your answer only,no use 4)If you think of buying the book, best book is Competition Science Vision Best of luck |

At first I will say something before the specific book.
Some Important Tips: 1:According to me,maintain a time table to allow yourself to devote minimum6-8hrs per day for the IIT exam 2:Then try to collect the base or main material of any subject. 3:.Study the Syllabus 4:Try to solve the Previous questions papers 5:Try to Solve more and more problems, 6:Try to discover more and more new own tricks by which you can easily solve any problem in a less time . 7:You can go for self tests. However, there are some important books for some competitive examinations. Physics: 1:Concept of Physics Volume 1 & Volume 2, By H C Verma 2:Fundamentals of Physics , Halliday, Resnick & Walker 3:Advanced Level Physics,Nelkon and Parker 4:Problems in General Physics ,I.E.
