Can a 28 years old(SC) answer UPSC exam?
i am 28years old. i can give UPSC exam. I am SC candidet.

yes indeed you can sit for UPSC exam
surely, even if you were a general category student you could sit since age limit for gen category is 30 years. Good news for you is that you being sc candidate you can appear till you are 35 and further you have no limits on your no. of attempts , you can appear untill you are 35. |

Yes dear 28 year old can answer UPSC exam if he or she is having Bachelors degree also.....................
UPSC Exam Eligibility: Age Eligibility: You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August, 2011. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules. Academic Eligibility: You must be a graduate from a recognized university. |

yeah definitely..

YES you can definitely write the exam.
As stated by the government the age limit eligibilitly crieteria for UPSC 2011: Age Limits : (a) A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2011, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990. (b) The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable : (i) upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. (ii) upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates. |

In India Casteism is not an issue for the study purposes But the students of the lower castes are treated more respectable than the GENERAL one.They will not only get the age exemption but also get the benefits of the scholarships too.Sometimes they will get the FREESHIPS for their Higher studies.
As you want to attempt the UPSC exam at the age of 28 years then you can be appear for that as the eligibility criteria for the same is as under- general -21 to 30 obc -21 to 33 sc/st -21 to 35 |

Dear pal,
UPSC conducts exam for various posts namely IAS,IPs,IES etc. The age limit for appearing in all the exam is 1. The lower limit for appearing in exam is 21 2. The upper limit for the exam is 30 for a general category 3. For OBC category aspirant the maximum age is 33 4. For st and sc the upper limit is 35. 5. For defence personnel it is 35. There is restriction on the number of attempts General -4 attempts OBC- 7 attempts sc and st -no restriction |

If you have asked about Civil Service Examination then the eligibility criteria to apply for the civil service examination is as under. The candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized University.And the age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years. Age relaxation of three years and five years are given to the OBC and SC/ST candidate respectively. Yes, my friend you can appear in UPSC exams.. As you have mention that your age is 28 years. Age eligibility for UPSC exams:- *The candidates age must be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. So, go for the exam. All the best. |

Eligibility For UPSC exam: 1: you must hold a degree of any of Universities recognized by the Central or State Legislature(CSL) in India or other educational institutions established . or if you are qualifying the final examination ,also be eligible for admission to the Preliminary Examination. applications for the main Exam will be declared in July or August, 2011. Age:you should be age of 21 years and must not more than age of 30 years on 1st August, 2011 Exam Process:There are two stages of the examination. Stage I:The Preliminary Examination of objective type for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and Stage II:The Main Examination is of Written test and then Personal Interview for the final selection of candidates for the various posts. The main exam is yet to be held in October or November, 2011. FEE : (a) Candidates applying Online are required to pay Rs.50/- in any Branch of SBI by Cash or by Visa or Master Credit or Debit Card.
