Can a B.Tech student form AMIE appear for IES entrance exam?


Can a student done their b.tech from amie are allowed to appear in i.e.s exam?

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

If you have B-Tech/BE degree in Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering then you are applicable for IES exam .

OR

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

You are from B-Tech AMIE candidate so you are not applicable for IES exam.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

SC/ST = 5 years .
OBC =3 years .
PWD =10 years .
Ex-Servicemen = 5 years .

Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

I am a non-linear video editor with four years experience. I want to apply to a good TV channel, but don’t have any media qualification. I am a commerce graduate with a PG diploma in Computer Applications. Any part time or distance learning media courses? - Naresh

Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) is actually a professional certificate. It is handed by the Institute of Engineering in India. There is often a confusion regarding whether such candidates are eligible for exams for Engineering graduates.

The simple answer is yes. The Ministry of Human Resources and Development recognizes AMIE as equivalent to degree in Engineering such as Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering.

Thus AMIE candidates are allowed to appear for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. Therefore you should not hesitate in applying for the Indian Engineering Service if wishes to do so. Such candidates can also appear for the General Aptitude Test for Engineering.

Indian Engineering Service has been acknowledge as one of the most difficult entrance exams in the country. You will have to really prepare very hard in order to clear this entrance exam.

The Indian Engineering Service offers jobs in various central government departments. The exam is conducted for four streams:

Electrical Engineering

Civil Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering


Eligibility Criteria

1. Along with Indian Citizen, the candidates from Nepal and Bhutan can also apply.

2. You should have a B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree.

3. Candidates with M.Sc degree with special subjects like Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also eligible.

4. As on August 1 of examination year you should be older than 21 years and less than 30 years.

5. There is maximum of 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. While 5 years is given to SC and ST.

7. Final year students of B.Tech can also apply.

Dear Aspirant,


IES stands for Indian Engineering Service This Exam is conducted by UPSC every years for the Engineering Post in Government Section......

A candidate who have completed their Bachelor Degree in Engineering that is BE/B.Tech can apply for this examination......

A candidate who are pursuing Their Final year of BE/B.Tech can also apply for the Same......

You have done your B.Tech so, you are eligible for it.....

Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years for general category student....

For OBC Category age should be between 21 to 33 years allowed....

For SC/ST it should be allowed for 21 to 35 years.....


Attempt Criteria:-

General Candidate student can apply if max. 4 Times.

OBC Category student can Max. 7 Times.

SC/ST category student have No attempt Limit.

The acronym for IES is Indian Engineering Services.

Yes, you are eligible for IES entrance examination.

Indian Engineering Services are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India.

IES officers are selected by the union government on the recommendations made by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

The eligibility criteria required for the IES examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in Engineering(B.Tech/B.E.) in these following streams from any accredited college or university:-

IES name has changed, now it's ESE, ese stands for engineering services examination.

Yes you are eligible for ese exam. ESE 2013 notification has been published on 06th April 2013. Last date for ESE 2013 Application Form 06th May 2013.

The Full Form Of IES is Indian Engineering Services Exam and is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

This Exam is considered as the best exam for the Engineering candidates.

As you have done B.Tech , you can easily appear for the IES Exam if you fulfill the qualifications mentioned below :

Union Public Service Commission Organizes IES exam every year.

The educational qualifications regarding with IES exam are below mentioned:-

# Opponents must have finished B.Tech or B.E. degree in anyone of these curricula Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from any approved institution.

Sir, I shall have a B.tech degree from AMIE in the year of 2020, will I be able to appear in IES exam? If possible then please sir suggest me some books on my trade. I am a diploma second year mechanical engineering student. Please also suggest me the marks criteria.
