Re: Can I appear for IAS after B.Pharm and M.Pharm?
Most certainly you can apply for Indian Administrative Service after completing B.Pharma or M.Pharma course. While B.Pharma is a under graduation course, M.Pharma is post graduation course.
Both are acceptable to appear for the Civil Services Examination for the Indian Administrative Service. The criteria for this exam is only graduation degree. B.Pharma is a valid graduation degree. Therefore bottom line is you can apply for IAS after completing any of the two courses you mentioned. But please ensure you are completing them from a recognized college and that you are meeting the age criteria to appear for the Civil Services Examination. I have mentioned all the criteria below. If you are meeting them then apply for the Civil Services Examination. It is not possible to apply for the exam this year therefore you must wait till next year to apply. Use this time to prepare for the entrance exam. IAS Eligibility 1. Only Indian nationals will be considered. 2. Your qualification should at least be under graduate to apply. 3. Post graduate degree holders can also apply. 4. There is no percentage criteria. 5. Age should be within 21 to 30 years group. 6. Three years upper age relaxation for OBC. 7. Five years for SC/ST. 8. There is no physical criteria for IAS. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |
