Well i wanted to ask as i have done my bsc in animation can i appear for the ips exam

**IPS(Indian Police service)entrance exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

***Education: Any Graduate from the recognized University or a final year candidate from the recognized University in any stream can write UPSC IPS exam.

**Age: 21-30 years, relaxations are there as per Govt. Rules.

***Nationality: Indian.

**Attempts: General 4 attempts. OBC: 7 attempts. S/C S/T: No limit.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for IPS exam after doing B.Sc. in Animation.

There is no specific exam as IPS exam. To become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year after Graduation Degree in any stream.

Eligibility for IPS, Civil Service Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian national.
-Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical Fitness along with minimumprescribed physical requirement.

can i appear for ips exame after doing B.Sc. in IT

Most certainly you can appear for the Indian Police Service. The Union Public Service Commission only asks for graduation degree as qualification criteria. You are free to choose the course.

It could be B.Sc, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Tech, B.Com and any other valid graduation course. Therefore you can appear for the entrance exam called Civil Services Examination.

It will be only possible for you to appear for Civil Services Examination next year. The forms are released in the first couple of months of the year, make sure you register for the entrance exam properly.

You should also remember that there is a need to meet physical criteria as well. Otherwise you are not allowed to appear for the Civil Services Examination.


IPS Eligibility

1. Indian origin candidate are selected for IPS.

2. UPSC will accept any valid graduation degree.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. Candidates belonging to age group of 21 to 30 years can appear.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.


Physical Criteria

1. The height of male candidate should be 165 cm.

2. Criteria is 160 cm for Schedule Tribe candidate.

3. Chest should be 84 cm with 5 cm expansion.

4. 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye

5. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye

Yes,you will be eligible to become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer after completing your B.SC in Animation.But the Eligibility required to apply for IPS Officers is as Follows :-

• You must be an Indian .
• You must have Completed 5 years by giving service as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in States Police service/Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Services/As a Major in Armed Forces.
• Candidates age should not be above 35 years for General Category,36 years for OBC category and for SC/ST candidates it should be 37 years.

Thus for becoming an IPS Officer,you will have to be a Government officer as a Assistant Commandants .To apply for Assistant Commandant Officer,you will require to meet these Eligibility conditions :-


Educational qualification :

• Candidates should have a bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university.
• Candidates who are in Final year/Waiting for Final year Results will also be able to apply for this exam.

Note :-

• You can able to apply for CISF and CRPF through this exam.
