NET stands for National Eligibility Test and for appearing in the same examination, the minimum education required is Master's degree in concerned paper with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category.
So, having completed your Post-graduation degree course even in Arts stream, you are eligible for appearing in NET in the subject opted as major subject in the post-graduation degree course irrespective of subjects opted at lower degree course. For FAQs related to the NET eligibility, you can refer to the link www.ntanet.nic.in. |
