Yes.Soon after the completion of B.Sc in IT, you are eligible to apply for various Government Jobs.

But, it is not so easy to get a government job as the competition is high for government jobs.

For many of the Government Jobs, the selection procedure will involve
-Written Exam
-Interview

If you want to get a job in various civil services like
-IAS
-IPS
-IRS etc.
then crack civil services exam. This exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The selection procedure for this is by
-Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

If you want to be placed in defence services, then you can prepare for CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam which is also being conducted by UPSC.

You can join
-Indian Military Academy
-Indian Naval Academy
-Indian Air Force Academy by cracking this exam.

You can also apply for various Railway jobs of RRB for which Graduation is highest eligibility criteria.

If you are interested to get a job in Banking sector, then you can prepare for Bank PO Exams and IBPS Exam.

From the previous academic year, IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducting common written exam for the recruitment of PO positions for 19 public sector banks.

The selection procedure for these positions will include
-Written Exam (both objective and descriptive)
-Interview

If you are interested to make your entry into Insurance sector, then you are eligible to apply for AAO positions in various public sector Insurance companies like
-LIC
-GIC etc.

My friend B.Sc is also considered as graduation degree. There are various jobs in the government sector that require candidate to have graduation degree. You can apply for any of the following jobs.



BANKING JOBS

You may have heard about the IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO Exams. These are the most popular banking exams in India. A total of 19 Public Sector Banks accept the score of these two exams. On the basis of the score, candidates are selected for the Clerical and PO/MT jobs in the Public Sector Banks.



IBPS Clerk Eligibility

1. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

2. A computer diploma or degree else Computer/IT should be one of the subjects in high School/College.

3. Age limit is 18 to 28 years for General.

4. Three years relaxation is given to OBC.

5. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation.




IBPS Bank PO Eligibility


1. A bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Age limit is 20 to 30 years.

3. Age limit for OBC is 20 to 33 years.

4. Age limit for SC/ST is 20 to 35 years.




CIVIL SERVICE EXAM


With graduation degree, you can appear for Civil Service Examination for Indian Police Service or Indian Administrative Service. While IPS is related to law and order, IAS is related with development and implementing policies. Each year UPSC conducts the entrance exam for IAS and IPS. The criteria for IAS and IPS is the same.



Eligibility


1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply.

2. A graduation degree in any discipline.

3. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for General.


Upper Age Limit Relaxation


1. For SC/ST - 5 years.

2. For OBC - 3 years.





INCOME TAX OFFICER


You can also become Income Tax Officer with graduation degree. The Income Tax Officer works for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). The responsibility of Income Tax Officer is to take action against tax evaders. If interested then apply for the Income Tax Officer Exam by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).



Eligibility


1. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

2. Final Year candidates may also apply.

3. Your age should be 18 to 27 years.

4. The age criteria for OBC is 18 to 30 years.

5. Upper age limit for SC/ST is 33 years.

It depends on you . You have to decide in which sector you want to go.
You can apply for bank PO if you have 60% marks, you can apply for It officers in bank.
If you have scored less than 60% marks you can apply for clerical post in banks,
UPSC( IAS and IPS) and IFS.
You can go for Msc and den Qualify net if you wish to be a lecturer.
So you decide.

SSC Combined Graduate level exams:
Eligibilty is Graduation pass

SBI PO exams

2 years (after diploma you will get admission directly in 2nd year of bscit).

Bscit course is valid for education department job.
