I have just completed my B.Ed in Economics and I have also done M.Com. So, now can I apply for UGC NET? If yes, then which subject should I opt? Is there Economics subject option available? And, what is the last date to submit our application form?

As per the NTA guidelines, candidate can apply for the UGC NET exam in their post graduation subjects or related to that subject.
As you have completed your post graduation in economics you can appear for UGC net Economics or UGC NET commerce.


Important Dates:

Application forms started filling on September 9, 2019.

Last date to fill the application form is October 9, 2019.

Admit card will be available on 9th November, 2019.

Exam will be conducted from December 2 to December 6, 2019.

If you have scored atleast 50% average marks in M.com then you will be eligible for UGC NET. Yes Economics is listed by UGC for NET examination. The last date of application is 9th October 2019 . The examination will be conducted in the month of December.

As you have completed your M.Com therefore, you are eligible to appear in UGC NET exam but you can appear for the subject in UGC NET which you have studied in your Master's degree.

Exam will be conducted 2nd to 6th December, 2019.

Declaration of result will be on 31st December, 2019.
