I m a govt teacher can i do B.ed by CMJ university by distance edu.

Yes, why not, you can do Bachelor of Education from CMJ university in distance mode. This degree has become compulsory for all those who wants to be a government teacher. It is a teacher training course.

The eligibility criteria for B.Ed:

>>Candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

>>The percentage of marks in bachelor's degree should not be less than 50% for general and OBC candidate. For SC/ST candidate there is percentage relaxation of 5% marks.

But let me tell you one thing that CMJ university is affiliated from UGC but not from NCTE that is National Council for Teacher Education.

So bachelor's degree in education obtained from this institute will not be valid for teaching job in government schools.

Last year, education minister of Assam told that degrees obtained from CMJ university for B.Ed is not valid for government school teaching job. You can read the official statement http://www.telegraphindia.com/113081...p#.VWBxzPmqqko.

So, it would be better if you pursue your bachelor's degree in education from other universities like IGNOU, DU, Osmania etc.

I passed B.A from jami Urdu and M.A Urdu from MANU in distance mode.I am working as teacher in education department from last 7 years. Can I applies B.ed in distance mode

B.Ed is compulsory teachers training course specially for the candidates who aspire to become a government school teacher. Those who are already a government school teacher also need to have a B.Ed degree with the time frame provided by the state government.

CMJ University is a private university located in Meghalaya. It is recognized by UGC, Government of India.

As per my knowledge CMJ university is not approved by NCTE(National Council of Teacher Education). It is better than you do not opt for B.Ed course from CMJ university. There are many other universities that offers NCTE recognized B.Ed degree by distance mode like

Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU)

Karnataka State Open University

Maharishi Dayanand University(Rohtak)

Himachal Pradesh University

Punjabi University(Patiala)

Kurukshetra University.

The NCTE guidelines that need to be followed for admission in B.Ed distance education are

The candidates should have a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.

The regular teachers with a teaching experience of minimum 2 years serving in recognized schools are not permitted to get admission.

The admission will be based on a written admission test.
