Can I do BCA after my 12th board exam even if I don't have Mathematics as on of my major subjects?


I am studying in 12th class with Commerce stream and I don't have Mathematics either as one of the major subject or as optional subject. I want to do BCA after 12th. Will I be able to do it from any college?

The full form of BCA course is Bachelor of Computer Application.

1. You must have done 12th from a recognized board in any stream. English must be one of the compulsory subject in 12th.

Mathematics at 12th level either major or optional subject is necessary for Master of Computer Application course.

You are eligible for BCA course after 12th in commerce stream.

As per the minimum eligibility criteria, candidate must have done 12th standard with PCM from a recognised board in order to pursue BCA because mathematics is compulsory subject in order to pursue BCA.
As you haven't pass your 12th standard with mathematics subject hence you are not eligible to join this course.

Eligibility Criteria Required to pursue BCA course:

Yes, you are eligible to pursue Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course without having Mathematics at 12th level. Basically, candidates having Mathematics at 12th level are eligible to pursue this BCA course. Even then, there are other colleges that are offering BCA course for candidates who are not having Mathematics at 12th level.

BCA refers to Bachelor of Computer Application and same is an undergraduate degree course in computer applications which has a very good career scope in software world.

As far as you are concerned about your eligibility to pursue BCA degree course having not pursued Mathematics at your Class 12th level then I would like to let you know that you are eligible for pursuing BCA degree course from most of the colleges as the minimum education required for pursuing BCA degree is just a higher secondary school degree from a recognized board of education.
