Can I do CA after doing software engineering?
I have completed Software Engineering degree course. Now, can I study Chartered Accountancy course? Is there any exemption in Chartered Accountancy course after graduation in software engineering? In which will I get admission in CA?

Chartered Accountancy is a professional course. It has three stages namely CPT, IPCC and final course.
Those who have done bachelor's degree in non commerce stream and scored more than 60% marks in graduation can directly apply for IPCC stage of CA course. This is the exemption for graduates. If you have less than 60% marks, you will have to first apply for CPT and clear it to become eligible for CA course enrollment. |

Since, B.E./B.Tech graduates in any discipline (say Software Engineering) are eligible for pursuing Chartered Accountancy course.
Though you are eligible for CA, but most of the persons won't suggest you to pursue it after B.Tech. Because, it will take another 4-5 years for completion. Furthermore, it has concepts like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, which are far different from B.Tech subjects. These subjects are closely related to subjects of 11th and 12th standard Commerce stream. |
