There are very few recognized Universities which offers Phd program in English through distance mode. The Indira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU] offers Phd in English through distance mode. The minimum duration to completed the program is two years. Candidate seeking to pursue the program must have completed the Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks [50% for the reserved candidates] from a recognized Institution beside holding an M.Phil degree.
