There is no scheme of lateral entry in Indian Institute of Technology. Diploma in Engineering candidates are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Technology in IITs. They can take admission in IITs for B.Tech course after qualifying both stages of JEE Main and Advanced.
You need to crack both stages of exam for admission in IITs. |

No you are not eligible to get lateral entry admission in IIT-Delhi for pursuing B.Tech (Textile Engineering) course. NITs/ IITs doesn't offer lateral entry admission to B.Tech course. So, being a Diploma holder, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main and Advanced examination and you can get admission in first year of Engineering course in IIT-Delhi.
