dear friend,

there are not computer related stream so you can choose different stream for IES exam.

as you know there have no option for computer science Engineering student.

IES is eligible for given below department of engineering.

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

your department is mechanical so you are eligible for IES exam.

IES Stands for Engineering Services Examination and the examination was Conducted By UPSC Every year.

And to apply for this examination, You Must have completed your Engineering Degree Course In Any Discipline from a recognised University. So any Engineering Graduate Candidates are Apply for IES Examination.

Final year Graduate Engineering candidates are also eligible to apply for IES Examination, So When you are doing your Final year B.E Course OR when your are in your Last Semester of B.E Course, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination.

To apply for This examination Your age should between 21 to 30 years And the Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC and Other Reserved Category Candidates. Eligible Candidates Fill the IES Application form Online By visit the UPSC Website.

no, you are not eligible for IES before completion/after completion of your B.E Computer Science.

as the criteria which is given by the UPSC is the only four discipline branch of engineering is given below are eligiable to write the IES exam.

A>ME.

B>ECE.

C>CIVIL.

D>EE.

and other criteria is given

1.minimum graduation in engineering from recognized university or college in the above discipline.

2.minimum 55% marks in engineering.

3.age limit 21-28 years..

AT this time you are not able to give IES exam.
because you are in your 3rd year.
only graducate or final year students can apply for this exam.
age critera is 21 to 30 years for gen. for other casts there are some relexations.

but you are a cse students so, you have to choose another subject for the exam. this is as per your wish.

Sorry, 3rd year students of engineering can not apply where as final year student can apply for IES.

ELIGIBILITY :

1. Electrical Engineering
2. Electronics & Communications Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Mechanical Engineering

or equivalent degree from recognized universities.

5. M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics
or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.
Note: Students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible.

Age Limits :

Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on August 1st on year of conduct of examination ( upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs,OBCs and certain others )

How to Apply : UPSC applications are available for Rs. 20/- at notified post offices all over the country. Rs. 100/- (rupees one hundred only) through central Recruitment Fee Stamp only shall be attached. There is a fee exemption for SC/ST/Female/PH candidates. Please mark exam code as ENGG and not as IES. IES means Indian Economic service. Be careful in this aspect.

Last date for application : Usually in the first week of March in year of conduct of examination (offline)

Applications can be made online also. For details refer website www.upsc.gov.in

Date of examination : Commences from usually in the last weeks of June in the year of conduct of examination.

Dear friend sorry you are not eligible in 3rd year ......after getting degree you will be surely eligible............

That's why you can apply after 4th year for this exam............

eligibility:
A degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent. MSc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.


Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete. Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the Examination will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite examination along with their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage.

The eligibility conditions for appearing in the Indian Engineering Services Examination are mentioned here under:

Candidates must be an Indian Nationals.


Age
Minimum age of the candidates must be 21 to 30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination. However, certain categories of persons including departmental candidates as specified in the Commission's Notice as published in the national news papers such as Employment News etc. are eligible for age relaxation.

No, my friend wright now, you are not eligible for IES exam..
Because to appear in IES exam you have to fulfill some criteria..
The eligibility criteria for IES exam-

*One must have complete the graduation in any engineering field.....
*One can also appear in IES exam during final year of Graduation..
*If the candidate is from General category then the age should be in between 21-30years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is of 5years.. For OBC the age relaxation is of 3years.

You must have to fulfill the criteria..

so, you can appear in IES exam next year.. When you will be in final year of your graduation..

you can apply for IES exam in last year of your graduation you can't apply in 3rd year of your graduation.to apply for IES exam you have to pass your graduation

The engineering students completed your degree from any descipline can apply for the exam.
