being an Metallurgy branch candidate you are eligible to appear in UPSC Exam i.e.,, UPSC CSE(Civil service examination) the basic eligibility criterion of the examination is a minimum degree from any recognized Indian University. and the age required for the same is 21 years and the maximum age limit for general candidate is 30 years. I think there is no optional subject called Metallurgy but you can take any optional subject from the list of optional subjects. provided by UPSC here is the list just have a look upon it. >>Mathematics >>Agriculture >>Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science >>Botany >>Chemistry >>Civil Engineering >>Commerce >>Economics >>Electrical Engineering >>Geography >>Geology >>Indian History >>Law >>Management >>Mechanical Engineering >>Medical Science >>Philosophy >>Physics >>Political Science >>Psychology >>Public Administration from this list you can select any optional subject of your wish. there is no bar or objection towards the subject selection. Hope you understood and also again I'm telling you are perfectly eligible for the examination . All the best Regards ![]() ~AdityA~ |
