I want to do post graduation as well as clear UPSC CSE after graduation. So, after clearing UPSC can I not go for training and rather apply for study leave and after clearing post grad, join the services?

There is maximum duration of 1 year to join the service.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. Candidates after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for final selection.

So, if you get selected than you can take a year leave for the studies and join the service later. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

It totally depend on the candidates.
Some opt for training after selection.
Candidates are sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussorie and other places in India for training on how to execute powers and their responsibilities.

The total duration of Training period is 2 yrs.
After clearing exam , one has to go through 4 stages
