if i wear spectacles can i join IAF ... in flying branch as pilot

if you want to be a flying officer in IAF then you must satisfy the following elgibility criteria for your eyes vision...

Vision

Distant Vision 6/6 without spectcles.
Near Vision N-5 each eye.
Color Vision CP-1(ML T).
Manifest Hypermetropia must not exceed + 2.00 Dsph "Myopia - Nill" and Astigmatism + 0.75 DSph.

however a person who cannot manage without spectacles is not at all eligible as a flying officer...

If after wearing your spectacles your vision is 6/6 than your wearing specs won't create any problem

provided you fulfill other minimum qualification required by INDIAN AIR FORCE to recruit candidate as PILOT.

Through NDA and CDSE examination you can apply in INDIAN AIR FORCE.

For Pilot Post and Services you must have studied the the physics and maths in your 12th class.

NDA Examination Eligibility

1, you must have studied the the physics and maths in your 12th class from recognized board.

2, Students age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

3, unmarried male candidate are eligibile to apply.

Selection Procedure

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages :

• A written examination .

Mathematics 01 2 1/2 hours 300
General Ability 02 2 1/2 hours 600

• An interview

• A medical examination .

Graduated from in any discipline recognized university

i can c .. without spectacle ... but have hypermetropia for right side eye +2.5 n left one +0.5 .. but i can manage without spectacles ..so am i eligible

If you are aspiring to join Indian Air Force then you should have to apply for NDA examination and for that you have to fulfill the following Qualification....


## A candidate must have completed their 12th Science from Recognized board.

## Only Unmarried Male can apply for it.

## Age of candidate must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

## A candidate must have a citizenship of INDIA.

Exam pattern:

1. Prelim Exam
2. Main exam
3. Personal interview and Physical Test

Sir. I have spectacles of left side eye having 0.5 and right side 0.75 can i eligible for fighter pilot

Sir, I am an engineering graduate with 7.6 percent in eletonics and communication discipline.. but my eye sight is bit poor.. will i be allowed in technical branch in IAF after corrective surgery via AFCAT exam?? Please anyone help me as soon as possible.

I have studied environmental engineering. I had air pollution as my main subject of my project and I'm interested in the meteorology department of air force. I have spectacles but will that be an impediment in getting into ground staff of meteorology department?

Sir, i have a normal eyesight but i am colour blind. So my question is that if i wear glasses to reduce or to improve this, then can i join IAF. I am totaly medical fit but i can't see only colours otherwise I can see clearly.
