Hello friend,
To join Indian Army as an officer, one must not be over 24 years for Indian Military Academy (non-technical), 27 years for Indian Military Academy (Technical) and 25 years for Officers training Academy.
Since you have not mentioned about your educational qualification, its difficult to say whether you are eligible for Indian Army or not.
However, to get complete information regarding the eligibility criteria for different posts, refer to joinindianarmy.nic.in

HI,
I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for army at the age of 25.
For army you age should not more then 24 year.
You didn't mention your qualification.

If you have completed your post graduation then you can apply
till the age of 27 year.

Indian Army can be joined after 12th through NDA exam and after Graduation through CDS exam.

CDS -COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness. There is no upper age relaxation for Reserved candidate.

So as you are already 25 years of age you are not eligible for IMA but you may be eligible for OTA(Officer's Training Academy) for which the maximum age limit is 25 years.

The age must not be over 25 years if you want to join Indian Army through CDS exam.

For OTA , Chennai the age should be between 19 to 25 years then only you will be eligible for CDS exam.

So you are not eligible for CDS exam. But if you are Engineering Graduate then there is a Short service commission for technical graduates for which the maximum age needed is 27 years.

The notifications for this entry comes twice a year and if you are engineering graduate then only you can apply for this entry.

You have to apply online for this entry on the prescribed application form.

If your application is found suitable then you will be called for SSB interview.

If you succeed in this then you will be send to OTA , Chennai for 49 weeks training.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for Indian Army at the age of 25 year.
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

For C.D.S exam you have to pass graduation with any stream.

IMPORTANT DATE C.D.S. EXAM.(I), 2013
Date Of Notification:-10.11.2012
Last date of submission of form:-10.12.2012 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-17.02.2013 (SUNDAY)

No your not eligible for Indian army academy in both the NDA as well as CDS . if your so much interested in defence academy then you can pursue for OTA .

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and this examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

Your interested in NDA for army academy then you should qualified for 12th in any stream ie : science or commerce or arts from recognized university . your age should be 16 1/2 years to 19 years . you should also physically fit .

So as per the eligibility criteria your not eligible for Army Academy. But,, You can try to apply for OTA (Officer training Academy)

OTA stands for (Officer Training Academy) . it is one of the CDS examination conducted by the UPSC .

Your interested OTA then you should be qualified for bachelor degree in any stream from recognized university . Your age should be 19 years to 25 years . You should also physically fit for the training academy .

Arny recruitment happens at the 10+2 level through NDA and for that the maximum age limit is 19 years.
Then the recruitment happens at the Graduation level through CDS and for officers training academy -OTA ,you need to be in the age Gap of 19-25.
Moreover at the post graduation level the maximum age limit s 27 years.
So of you ahve just completed your graduation and above the age of 25 you are not eligible .

Eligiblity:-
--Canidate must passed 12th with minimum of 50%Mark's.

Maximum age is 21 years.


OR

Passed three years diploma course in engineering in any stream of government recognized board of polytechnic institute with minimum of 50% Mark's.

But, the age limit to join the army through CDSE is 24. But you can apply for Indian Navy or the Air Force for which the age limit is 25. But you can join the OTA ( Officers Training Academy) through the CDSE. Again, the age limit for OTA is 25.
