Re: Can instrumentation engineers join robotics? What is their role?
Dear Friend,
You Must Clearly note that Instrumentation Engineers study the Particular Part or Instrument of any Mechanical Body and work on it(Deals with only Mechanical Body) While Robotics involve Working Mechanically and Electrically with Electronics and Modifying it with Developing and Controlling the whole System(Deals with Mechanical,Electrical,Electronics and Others). Indirectly Robotics Engineer may work with Instruments but Instrumentation Engineers can't work with Robotics. As any Mechanically Body working without any help of Humans and involving the use of Electricity or Fuel and Helping the Humans for any Special Work or Purpose is Robot and The Person Studying and Manufacturing it,is Robotics Engineers. Robotics Play Major Role in Industrial Premises especially for Manufacturing and Developing any other Mechanical Body or Materials. But,There are varies Robotics Companies which works only with a Particular Part or System on which Instrumentation Engineers can work,So,You may join them. You may also apply for M.Tech in Robotics which is a Two Year Course and then you may carry forward with Robotics Engineering and may work on it. |
