MBA (called MMS in Mumbai), from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, is one of the most sought-after programs in the country. students are scurrying to get admission to such a renowned institute which various corporate leaders like Chanda Kochhar have been the students of.
for getting admissions here, one needs to take the common entrance test known as Maharashtra CET, which is conducted by the Directorate Of Maharashtra Education. this test is an objective test worth 200 marks. minimum 30 marks are required by a candidate to be eligible to apply for group discussion and personal interview which are worth 34 marks, combined with academic background and work experience worth 6 marks.
so in total one gets marks out of 240. the cut off varies from year to year depending upon the difficulty level of the exam every year. it also differs for maharashtra candidates and out of maharashtra candidates. like the cut off for the year 2010 was in 190s, but this year it may fall upto 160s,as per my research.
and the fee structure is not very high as it is decided by the Shikshan Shulka Samiti.
