i think u should nt rush so much towards placements ..you should go where your intrest is.placement is secondary

you have'nt told that in which field you want to know about the best colleges. but in every field, government colleges are the best to be applied for. like in b.tech, NIT & IIT are the best. in medical AIIMS is the best. you can also check the ranking of the college of your field. lesser the rank of the college, more will be its placement

Friend, Whatever school or Colleges you prefer, The only advantage you will get from good schools is your way of Attitude and your communication skills will Increase.

But as far as placements concerned. If you opt for Engneering after your 12 class.

You must give IIT JEE exam Or AIEEE Exam to get seat in Leading IIT's and NIT's.

Even some deemed Colleges do have their Entrance Exams like VITEEE, Shastra University, KIITS orissa. etc.

Choose your career with your interests.

My suggestion to you will be, carry on with what you planned cause it always valuable to do a bachelors degree whatever the stream it may be so in your case its textile design or technology i guess that depends upon your interest... and these textile field have lot of demand.... so am sure you are going to shine in that field....
