I have complete B.Sc in computer science honours, after that I have completed MCA(Masters in Computer Application), am I eligible for doing Ph.D in Computer Science???

Yes, of course you are eligible to apply for doing the Phd in computer science.

As you have done your graduation on the computer science, and have done master's degree in computer application,you can surely go for Phd with CS.

yes you are eligible to do Phd in computer science after completing your MCA , As you have done bsc in computer science so it is benifical for you to do phd in computer science as as your knowledge of bsc is required in your phd so go for it..

To do PHD in computer science either you have to do msc or MTech .

so it will be better if you can do mtech.

after mtech you will be eligible to to do phd.

You are eligible for doing Ph.D in computer science because the eligibility criteria says
The candidate should have one of the following:
M.Tech. in Computer Science or a related discipline (Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication etc).
B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline or MCA
M.Sc in Maths/Physics/Statistics
Graduate degree in Science/Engineering with an outstanding academic record.
And you are fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

But obviously, anyone who has a postgraduate degree can proceed to a doctoral degree, and you have had MCA, now you can take Ph.D. without any obstruction.
Moreover, since you are a master in computer science only, you will have an advantage in doing the required research for the same.

completed my MCA through distance am i eligible for doing Phd in cse/IT, there is any norms in UGC for distance education. can't do phd after doing pg through distance

Yes you are eligible to doing Phd course...

As you are completed your Master degree course i.e. MCA so you are eligible to do Phd.
All students which completed their Master degrees are eligible to doing Phd course..
So you are eligible.

right now you were not eligible for p.hd.first appall you need 3 years teaching experience or you need to qualify net exam.so you need to concentrate on one activity from mentioned so far

MCA is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering)

MCA with B.Sc. (Computer Science) background is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering).

B.Sc. Computer Science (3 Yrs) + MCA (3 Yrs) = 6 Years.

BE Computer Science (4 Yrs) + ME (2Yrs) = 6 Years.

MCA and ME both are equal.

Companies are giving equal priority to both MCA and ME.

Two Master's Degrees, MCA and ME, are treated Same for jobs and there is no difference in the competence ratings.

Both MCA and ME (Computer Science and Engineering) Professional Degree courses, the contents of theory and practical syllabus are Same.

MCA and ME Degree holders are Equal to each other.

Dear Friend,

As you have completed MCA, I think you are eligible to apply for the Ph.D.

To apply for the same you have to appear in the UGC's NET examination.

After qualifying the examination you will become eligible for the Ph.D program.

So apply for the NET examination.
