My son date of birth is 13th May, 2016. Is he eligible to get admission in Nursery in schools affiliated to either CBSE Board or ICSE Board? Or, should I get him admitted in Play School first?

As per Government Resolution (GR) released in 2015-16, now schools must ensure that the age of the student must be at least 3 years if they are getting admitted to Nursery standard.

The education department has announced that the minimum age required by the candidate to get admission in nursery class is 3 years. There are several school which are taking the admission at the age of 2.5 in nursery class. However, going ahead they will not be able to do that and would be taking admission after the candidate complete 3 years of age.
