12th pass in any discipline is the basic eligibility for a graduationh in Fashion Designing and Architecture. Though, you will have to appear and score well in NATA for getting admission in Architecture. So you can select your interested stream in 12th. It wont be a matter in joining your dream course. Still, Science stream may give more weight to the exam like NATA. You have to select good institutes for pursuing your course in graduation. Some of the leading institutes in Fashion Designing are NIFT, Pearl Academy, Lovely Professional University, Vogue institute etc. In Architecture, IIT Roorkee, Jadavpur university, School of planning and Architecture, Jmi, Lovely Professional University, IP university etc are the best institutes. Some of the universities are offering scholarships also. You can visit the websites for more details.

Fashion designing and Architecture both are very good career options.
To join in fashion designing the eligibility is to complete 10+2 education with minimum 50% from any stream. To join in Architecture the eligibility required is to complete 10+2 education with minimum 50% and having maths and English as their main subjects. Since joining in fashion technology doesn't require any stream but for joining in architecture you require maths and English as main subjects it's better to join in maths stream because after completing your 12th education you can join in either fashion technology or architecture that will be useful. So join in maths stream that will help you in joining any one course. |

Eligibility for Fashion Designing:
- Aspirants must have passed 10 + 2 in any discipline from recognised board with minimum 50% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to reserved students. - Minimum age should not be less than 17 years. - You have to appear in the entrance exam such as NIFT, NIFD, SOFT etc. Eligibility to become architect in future: - Aspirants must have passed 10 + 2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised board with minimum 60% marks. - Age should not be less than 17 years. So personally I would recommend to you that if you are interested in fashion designing as well as in architecture so non medical stream in your Intermediate standard is the best. |

As you are in class 10, you don't need to worry because after your 10+2 only you will be eligible to sit for B.Arch or BDes. For now you need to prepare for NATA for getting admission in the top architect colleges and NIFT to get in the top fashion schools.
For NATA you need to have Maths in your 10+2 as the prime eligibility criteria and for NIFT you need to have imaginative ideas in regard to designing. So, what ever stream you choose you should have maths for NATA and nothing such mentioned in NIFT. |
