SIR I HAV BEEN ALLOTED GNDEC LUDHIANA IN CSE IN 1st ROUND COUNCLLING OF PTU.SHOULD I STICK TO IT OR TRY FOR DAVIET JALLANDHAR IN 2nd COUNCLLING.I HAVE HEARD IT IS BETTER PLACEMENT WISE ALSO? IS PUNJABI UNIVERSITY ALSO GOOD FOR ECE OR CSE OR SHOULD I OPT FOR CIVIL IN GNDEC OR DAVIET?

I think you should opt for DAVIET ,jalandhar.
Because this is one of the top engineering institutes in north india.

DAV institute of engineering and technology or DAVIET has very good bonds with renowned technical organisations.

It has a much better placement record over the years. So choose for CSE /ECE or any other core branch in DAVIET rather than GNDEC, ludhiana.

dear , both the university are good enough to do engineering degree but do take admission in that college which provides maximum placements so be careful while selecting college and i think that PTU is the good one ...all the best

So, i will suggest you just visit the sites of both the colleges. Those who provide better placement and good in academics, so please choose that college.

If you dont find more information regading both these colleges, then please collect information from the current students who are study there, they will help you better
and provide you better information.

So, please carefull and after getting full detail, then decide who are the best college and then choose accordingly.............

Dear first of all be relaxed, and decide weather you want to study Civil, CSE or ECE.

First your interest is important then Institute.

GNDEC and DAVIET both are affiliated to PTU, but still DAVIET is far better then GNDEC.

DAVIET has excellent placement record in CSE and ECE, it has recruiters like- Wipro, Infosys, Mphasis, HCL etc.

So, if you think that there is chance of getting DAVIET in second councelling then better to wait for it otherwise go for GNDEC it is also a good institute and basically famous for its Civil Engineering.

I think you have to go for daviet if you are really interested ECE or CSE. since its placement record is very good from the past few years .

so i will suggest you that you should go for daviet . and also note one thing

that give preference to ECE branch first. As this is the core branch of electronics if we compared with CSE also the demand of ECE engg is very high
in the market in comparision of CSE student.

DAV institute is better bcz it has got excellent placement records than other colleges of north India

I was alloted seat in GNDEC, Ludhiana in 2nd CET Counselling in ECE as a rural area candidate. But later they cancelled
my seat due to Urban Education. My rank is 3112. Now i am very sad as what i should do now?
Where i should apply for b.tec now?

i want to tell you that placement wise GNE is far better,
you can coompare the placement records of last 5 years,
GNE has claerly given their placement of each and every student with package details on their website, but DAVIET will never provide you exact information because reason is clear.
GNDEC has good reputation overseas also.
RANKED 39 now.
it is far much better.

i want to know about the fee structure for b.tech in gndec.

GNDEC is best college in punjab after thapar...dnt compare with DAVIET..... faculty is good and provides good infrastructure and excellent placement facilities...

regrding fees its same for PTU colleges..rather some what less than private asit being a govt aided college...

such as the infrastructure ,campus placements as well as the college environments.

on the basis of there all analysis i will suggest you to go for the DAVIET.

because this is good in the different aspects.

you can choice which ever give your fulfilment of your other conditions except the placements as for that both are the same.....

daviet is just as child in front of GNDEC
and according to placement and salary package..GNDEC is best than iit also.

I'm not interested in suggesting anybody to opt for what or not . . . coz for anybody GOD makes better ways than us.. I just wanna tell u that GNDEC, Ludhiana's first batch was passed out in 1964, but DAVIET's first batch was passed in 2005.
I think . . . just this point is sufficient for u to compare both colleges, that which has better infrastructure, experienced staff & better equipments for labs of all kinds.
One thing more . . . the soil testing, concrete testing & strength testing etc - etc (all kinds of testings) of bridges, roads & buildings (whether govt. or private) is done over here only. B'coz only GNDEC, Ludhiana have the such equipments. No other college dare to buy
these equipments yet, coz these are very-very-very expensive (in crores).

So just study about both the colleges first & then suggest anybody,, to go for which one...

daviet is better

daviet is similar to any other institue in Punjab Affiliated to PTU. Never Prefer DAVIET(only 50% Placement in real).

gne is best college having more than 10000 engineers passout during his way.it is comparable to IITs.and also its labs equipment is directly From AICTE.and department of science of indian goverment.daviet is just child in front of gne

I am an alumnus of DAVIET so i can comment on this. DAVIET is far better than GNE Ludhiana. GNE is old no doubt but due to its sikh minority and rural quota, majority of the students are from rural background. Moreover, DAVIET has the best infrastructure and placements record and excellent academics.

well gndec is a far better better choice than daviet is as it a private institution ...while gndec isn't and as far as placement record goes gndec has excellent placement records...

As per PTU ranking of its colleges on various parameters GNDEC is the top ranked college under PTU wheras DAVIET is ranked 6th. GNE is also ranked by PTU as having the highest placements under its umbrella. DAV doesnt stand anywhere even within PTU. GNE has been consistently ranked amongst the top engg. colleges nationally in various surveys. How can you compare a reputed college with a teaching shop!

don't go with daviet...it is a not a good college...only its name is famous but bad faculty and it is like a jail..i don't recommend anyone to go there....and i also heard about the cancellation of aicte...pls can anyone tell me about this?

gne is beat of best compare to daviet and any other college in punjab after thapar and nit ................ gne always rock and they have experience of 51 years with more than 15,000 students passed their degree compare to iits and nits.

hello friend, before saying this check the companies visiting GNDEC.... microsoft, oracle, hcl,CSE, and many more....

I m 2010 passout of gne and got on campus placement in tcs and csc...now u can imagine how great institute is gne...this year around companies like microsoft,tcs,hcl,oracle,gammon,punj lyod,acc,shapoorji and paloonji,escorts,gammon,honda motors,thermax,mahindra and mahindra etc have visited gne...its best in terms of faculty than any other ptu clgand is ranked numbet one by ptu

sir i am confused b/w chitkara university rajpura and daviet jalandhar . and i have alloted cse in chitkara university rajpura but i have alloted ece in daviet jalandhar . so which college is better for me .i am from jalandhar

highest package offered in gne is 18.84 lpa and that of daviet is 5.6lpa and that too to Mba students moreover gne is always got ranked in various magazines eg outlook(37) ,times engineering survey (45) ,csr(19) etc and as for daviet none of the reputated magazines have ranked it and rest is up to you
