I am keen in taking up Industrial / Product design.
To help me in the enterance tests, I want some past papers (3 years) on the pattern for such enterance ezams. Any recommended readings?
Are there any centres in Chennai who can provide me this info?

Also what is a 'studio test'?

The programs for Fashion Technology and Design are getting immensely popular these days. Fashion nowadays, is not the style statement of film industry only but of masses too. Many young and talented persons are getting recognition for their fashion designs. Consequently, a fascination has grown amongst the youth towards fashion designing. There is a huge rush of students who want to pursue a career in Fashion Designing. And the institutes which conduct these courses have plenty of students waiting for grabbing a seat. For some institutes like NIFT and IIFT, entrance exams are held every year for various programs.

The application form for Common Entrance Examination for Design, CEED, 2010 can be downloaded online and submitted in the same way. Offline application forms are also available. The forms are available with the payment of a non refundable application fee of Rs.950. The fee amount is Rs 475 for SC/ST/PD candidates.

Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design is 2 to 2½ year programme is offered in the following specific areas of specialisation in 15 design disciplines under the five faculties,in National Institute of Design.

Eligibility criteria for PGDPD:
Candidates having a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (including those who will be appearing for the qualifying examinations during the academic year 2005-06) in the areas mentioned against each discipline below are eligible to apply.

Diploma holders from premier specialized institutions may be considered on par with Bachelor's Degree in certain cases.
Those applying for more than one programme should send in separate application forms. One cannot apply for more than two Programmes.

Upper age limit for candidates is 27 years (relaxable by 3 years for SC/ST candidates) as on 1.6.2006.
Candidates with work experience after graduation will be preferred.
Age relaxation upto 3 years for general candidates with relevant work experience may also be considered.
