As per my research, KSOU is affiliated by Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi, ,for offering Programmes / Courses approved by the Statutory bodies of the University.

Well for KSOU or Karnataka State Open University, I did see the recognition given by UGC(University Grants Commission). So you do not need to worry much about it. Also it contains the mark of AICTE approval. This approval is needed for any college, so that you can be able to get good jobs. It has many colleges affiliated under it, so you can definitely take admission in any of the affiliated college and continue your studies. Good Luck.

Yes karnataka state open university is approved by distance education council for its distance courses and it has also got approval from aicte.
So all the course offered by it is valid and you can use them for higher studies and can get job also.
So no need to worry your course is also valid.
