Is Diploma enough to be eligible to apply for Sub-Inspector of Police?

Dear Sir/Madam, I am Diploma holder. I am willing to join Police as a Sub-Inspector. Diploma degree candidates are eligible for the Sub-Inspector post or not? If not, then what is the standard minimum educational requirement for Sub-Inspector post in Police?
