While filling up the UPSC application form does the male candidates who belong to the SC or ST category need to pay the examination fee? Or is it only the female candidates who belong to SC ST category? Can you please provide me with the answer on this? Thanks!

Female candidates of any category and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH are exempted from paying examination fees.

Male and female candidates of reserved category do not need to pay any examination fee.

First thing I would like to let you know that UPSC refers to Union Public Service Commission and as the name suggests same is a commission rather than examination that conducts several examinations such as Civil Services examination, NDA/NA entrance examination, CDS entrance examination, etc. for recruitment as Central government employees in different sectors.

Now as far as you are concerned about whether a male candidate belonging to SC/ST category are required for paying examination fee for appearing in UPSC examinations then the answer is certainly not as all female candidates and candidates belonging Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically Handicapped categories are exempted from payment of fee for any UPSC examinations.
