Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
Hello friend,
About each and every company demands 60% in Academics that is 10th, 12th as well as in B.Tech. So you need to have 60% all through. The overall marks will matters while placement, as they demands aggregate percentage in 10th and 12th. So, PCM marks doesn't matters during the placement in Engineering. If you have fulfill the criteria then you can appear fro the aptitude test and GD and then HR interviews. After clearing all three round you will get the appointment letter for joining the company. |

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
It matters just for eligibility criteria. If you have an aggregate of above 60% in your 12th then you can meet the Eligibility criteria of almost all the entrance exams and companies. But since your from Engineering hence your Graduation marks will only matter for your placements.
For some of the examinations you need above 70% aggregate in Engineering hence you don't need to worry more about your 12th Marks.if you have an aggregate below 60% then it will matter you.But for Government service jobs they don't consider your 12th marks but only your Graduation marks will matter. Focus on your Engineering and try to maintain an aggregate above 70%. |

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
Most of the companies wants to see the 12th marks for the eligibility criteria.
They need a 60% marks in 12th, but it does not require for placement. For placement only your graduation marks is required. So if you have 60% marks in your 12th then you are eligible for all yop companies in India. Some companies also does not require 12th marks. They only emphasize on graduation percentage. So don't worry...all the best! |

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
Yes The marks you have acquired in 12th std and 10th std and
aggregate of your engineering marks are the things to be considered for campus placements. Your 12th Physics, Chemistry and Maths are main subjects to be considered when your 12th marks are in notice. |

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
Yes, many companies ask for 12th marks, but only reason is that they want to select who are consistent in their studies, i dont think these marks will matter much if you have a decent score in Btech.

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
hi friend,
during placements only your overall 12th score will be considered for eligibility.do not worry about your individual subject marks it will not play role. you provide interviewer with only resume in which you will have only your aggregate marks in 10th 12th and UG. so dont get scared about you individual marks it will not affect your placements. most companies ask for 65% minimum only so if you have 65% in 10th 12th and UG you will be eligible to most of the companies. all the best |

Being an engineering student myself who will be sitting for campus placements soon, i can tell you that most of the companies offering campus placements do have a criteria of eligibility of the 10th and 12th percentage. However, PCM marks individually don't matter mostly and it is the overall percentage that counts. Most of the companies have the criteria of 60% marks in 10th, 12th and engineering. So, you can figure it out of your percentages whether you will be eligible or not. Also, this is a general view and this varies from company to company. Anyways, ALL THE BEST!! |

Re: Does 12th PCM marks matter during placements in Engineering?
You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification.
If your highest level of academic qualification is 12th class, you are not eligible to apply for campus placements. If you have completed your Engineering course,m then you can start applying for campus placements. Yes. The percentage of marks that the candidate scores in 12th class will be having importance in terms of eligibility for campus placements. Here is the eligibility criteria. The candidate should be a career 60 criteria having scored a minimum of 60% of marks in all the academic levels right from SSC. There should not be any pending backlogs for the candidates. The academic gap should not be more than 2 years. The selection procedure will comprises of Written Exam Group Discussion Technical Interview HR Interview You did not mention the percentage of marks that you scored in your academic levels. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, I suggest you to start applying for campus placements. Wish you all the best. |
