Yes of course. NET(National Eligibility Test) which is conducted twice a year by CSIR. To do PhD in reputated institutions or organizations, you need to give Entrance tests followed by interviews. So if you get qualified in NET, you can get Fellowships and also can secure a place for PhD interview. There are many other exams like NET such as GATE, DBT'S BET, ICMR-JRF, etc.
