Is Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM) University, Kolkata is approved by government of India?


I have a degree from Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning In Management (EIILM) University, Kolkata. Now, I want to apply for higher studies in Canada but, recently came to know that this university is not recognized by government of India. Is this information true? Will my degree obtained from this university be accepted for applying in Canada?
