If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for JEE Mains 2015 exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

Being a 17 years old, you are well within the age limit.

Other than this, you must keep this in mind :

1. You will be eligible to apply only if you are in top 20 percentile of your Board (like CBSE, RBSE, ICSE etc)

2. You have only two consecutive attempts for JEE Main

You can apply even if you are 12th appearing, but at the time of counseling you have to submit 12th certificate and score card.
