Respected Sir/Madam, I have completed my 5th semester of BTech. I am a 20 years old candidate and I am interested to appear for the AFCAT 2021. I would like to know about my eligibility to appear in this exam.

To be eligible for appearing in AFCAT 2021 exam, you should be either in final year of your graduation or should have completed it.

Since, you are currently in 5th semester (i.e. 3rd year), so currently you cannot apply for AFCAT exam 2021. However, you can apply for AFCAT 2022 exam after its notification releases next year.

Regarding age requirement:

• Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years
  Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is 26 years
• Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years

Eligibility to appear in the AFCAT 2021 for a BTech 5th semester student can be seen below.

You must have completed BTech and age should be less than 24 years to be eligible for this examination.

Candidates pursuing in 5th semester of B.Tech course are not eligible to appear in AFCAT examination.

AFCAT examination is conducted in two stages. Candidates in the final year of the bachelor degree course and age between 20-24 years are eligible to appear in the examination.

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and for appearing in the same examination the minimum education required is graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Students in final year of their degree course are also eligible.

So, being a student of 5th semester i.e; 3rd year of Four year B.Tech degree course, you are not eligible for appearing in the AFCAT.
